This policy is issued by MAADD ADVERTISING AND TRANSPORT LLP (LLPIN ADA-7608), registered with ROC Vijayawada(“MAADD”, “we”, “us”). Contact: support@maadd.in.
Google Play requires a clear public policy for apps that create accounts, collect location, use the camera, store documents, or send notifications. This document describes that practice for the MAADD Driver app (Android package com.driveads.driver).
1. Who this covers
This policy covers:
- Drivers using the MAADD Android app
- Advertisers and operators using MAADD web dashboards
- Visitors who submit an enquiry on this website
2. Data we collect
Account and identity. Mobile number, OTP verification, name, gender, date of birth, email (if provided), state, city, locality, and login session tokens.
KYC and vehicle records. Aadhaar number and Aadhaar photos (front and back), PAN number and PAN photo, driving licence (where requested), vehicle RC, licence plate, vehicle type and photos, and a driver selfie used for verification.
Campaign activity. Campaign applications, assignment status, notifications you receive, and related operational history.
Location. Precise GPS coordinates, timestamps, and trip path while a trip is active. Approximate location may be used to confirm city fit. If you grant background location, the app may continue collecting location during an active trip when the app is in the background, so movement can be verified.
Device and notifications. Device push token, app version, and basic device/network signals needed to deliver alerts and keep the session secure.
Media. Photos you capture or pick from the gallery for KYC, vehicle proof, and profile verification. The app requests camera and storage/photo access only for those uploads.
Support. Messages and files you send to support or through the website contact form.
We do not collect payment card details in the current Driver app. Wallet and payout features, if enabled later, will be described in an updated policy before they go live.
3. Location (Google Play disclosure)
Location is used to verify that a campaign vehicle is moving on approved routes and to prevent fraud. We do not use location for advertising to third parties, and we do not sell location data.
- Foreground location: while you use the app and start or continue a trip
- Background location: only during an active trip, if you grant that permission, so tracking is not lost when the screen is off
You can revoke location permission in Android settings. If you do, trip tracking and campaign verification will not work.
4. How we use data
- Create and secure your driver or advertiser account
- Verify KYC and vehicle eligibility
- Match you to campaigns by city and vehicle type
- Assign, approve, or decline campaign applications
- Record GPS-verified trips while a campaign is active
- Send in-app and device notifications about assignments, KYC status, and operations
- Detect fraud, duplicate accounts, and policy abuse
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests
- Improve reliability and support
5. Legal basis
We process personal data with your consent (OTP login, permissions, KYC upload, trip start) and to perform the service you requested. We also process data where required to run a legitimate operating company - including fraud prevention and assignment records - under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only as needed to operate MAADD:
- MAADD operations staff who review KYC, assignments, and support tickets
- Infrastructure providers that host the API, files, and app updates
- Google services used by the Android app (for example Maps / Play services) under their own terms
- Push delivery (device notifications)
- Authorities when required by law
Advertisers see campaign performance and assignment status. They do not receive your Aadhaar or PAN files as a public listing.
7. Retention
Account, KYC, vehicle, assignment, and trip records are kept for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure where needed for audit, dispute, tax, or legal requirements. Location points are stored as trip records, not as a live public map of your day-to-day movement outside an active trip.
8. Security
Access to driver data is restricted to authenticated sessions and authorised operators. Documents and tokens are transmitted over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we take reasonable technical and organisational measures and expect users to keep OTP access to their own phone.
9. Your rights and account deletion
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by emailing support@maadd.in from the registered number or email.
Account deletion (Google Play). Request deletion on the account deletion page or email support@maadd.in with the subject “Delete my MAADD account” and the registered mobile number. We will process verified requests, except where we must retain limited records for legal, fraud, or dispute reasons.
You can also withdraw device permissions (location, camera, photos, notifications) in Android settings at any time.
10. Children
The Driver app is for adults who can legally drive and contract in India. We do not knowingly onboard users under 18. If we learn that a minor created an account, we will close it.
11. Permissions the app may request
- Location (precise / background during active trips)
- Camera and photos (KYC and vehicle images)
- Notifications (assignment and KYC alerts)
- Network access
12. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top is the current version. Continued use of the app after a material change means you accept the updated policy, except where the law requires a fresh consent.
